Create With Color

I headed over to my local Lowe's and purchased some different varieties of vibrant Monrovia plants. I live in zone 6a New England, so right around this time of year, the garden centers get in all of these gorgeous plants. I get so excited when shopping. It can be hard to drag me away from the fantastic flowers in front of me. Monrovia has such a large selection of both perennials and annuals to choose from each year. The great part about creating a container garden is putting together your very own design. It's all up to you!

I like to mix and match, sticking to a color scheme while adding different textures to add visual interest. I am drawn to the thriller, filler, spiller method. I choose one or two tall plants for thriller, a couple plants that fill the pot that are medium sized, and plants with a trailing habit. The plants with a trailing habit will start out small when you purchase them. They will eventually start spilling over the edge, creating a bit of romance and elegance.

Sensational Selections

I picked out some vibrant varieties to liven up my outdoor space. I decided to add Blue Eyed Beauty African Daisy, Mega Revolution Gerbera Daisy, Dahlinova Hypnotica Dahlias, Darla Daiscia and Golden Variegated Sweet Flag to my containers. All of these plants can be purchased at Monrovia's online store. Once you order your plants, you can have them delivered to the garden center of your choice!

I'm always drawn to Monrovia's plants. Being an avid gardener, I really appreciate the high-quality plants they offer. They all look so healthy with big bountiful blooms and vibrant foliage. Perennials and shrubs hold up to the test of time and thrive year after year. I love how you can enter in your zip code here to help you find the perfect plant for your specific climate. Give it a try!

Make sure to remove spent blooms to encourage new growth. With some upkeep, you can enjoy it's showy, blue-eyed blooms all season long.

I love those daisies. I appreciate how using the same color flowers in all the pots ties the variety of pots together. Very nice.

You are having a golden hand there. I mean, it is so hard to get results from gardening, I am the person who would be so happy to see blooms from my flowers since I seldom see it. But in your case, it seems that it is so easy for you to see buds from all of your plants. I for sure like all your beautiful containers, and the way you made them look even prettier there but I appreciate more on how good you are in gardening. I would love to know the secrets. 🙂
