Project 366 Weeks 40 – 43

The 366 Photo Challenge 2016

It's time to start prepping for the holiday season!  Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, and the countdown to Christmas has begun!  I can't believe it's already time to plan out the Thanksgiving menu and begin shopping for stocking stuffers.  Lately, I've been busy putting my vegetable garden to bed. Just yesterday, I found a bell pepper hiding from me in the Swiss chard!  It's nice to see one final summer crop hanging on.  Seed saving is underway and leaves are falling all around here in New England.  Come see my latest happenings below!

Day 290 | 366 {an arrangement}

Cutting some of these gorgeous autumn roses to make a nice arrangement inside! As soon as the weather gets cold, they always put on one more spectacular show!💗

Day 291 | 366 {energy}

Thankful that my vegetable garden has enough energy to end the season on a high note! Shocked that my peppers are still producing well into October. Is everyone putting their garden bed to sleep and prepping for winter?

Day 292 | 366 {this humbles me}

Project 366 Weeks 40 -43 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Raising ducks and geese has humbled me and taught me so much. It has changed me for the better, teaching me daily lessons about nature, patience and caring for wildlife. Seeing them grow has been such a wonderful experience that I truly appreciate each day.

Day 293 | 366 {pale}

Project 366 Weeks 40 -43 | angiethefreckledrose.com

I've been enjoying the mix of pale and bright purple all season long. This is Proven Winners Superbena Sparkling Amethyst verbena. It was my first time growing it and it certainly won't be my last! This bicolor bloom is heat & drought tolerant. This was a total plus with the severe drought we experienced here in New England. It's also is deer resistant and attracts butterflies. One of my favorites this year! 💜

Day 294 | 366 {leading lines}

Today is filled with blue skies & temperatures around 70° What kind of weather are you experiencing where you live? 🌤

Day 298 | 366 {my outfit today}

Crisp autumn weather, soft scarves, warm oversized socks and a big cup of joe = one good Sunday! 🍎🍂☁️☕️ Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Day 299 | 366 {pumpkin}

Project 366 Weeks 40 -43 | angiethefreckledrose.com

I found a freckled pumpkin! Spots for days on this one, and I'm lovin it! I've learned so much doing this challenge & met so many talented fellow snappers. Only 2 months left? Let's do this!!🔸🔶🔸

Day 300 | 366 {self portrait}

Project 366 Weeks 40 -43 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Finishing up planting some chrysanthemums in the new window box. There was a wooden window box hanging here for years, but it started to deteriorate this summer. I wanted something that wouldn't rot and would last longer, so I decided to go with PVC. All the window boxes I found online this size were completely out of price range, so building one was the better way to go! I'm really loving how it turned out and I think it was definitely worth the extra effort 😀

Day 301 | 366 {rule of thirds}

    Angie I enjoyed all of your photographs so, so much. I too try my hand at photography but you are a master at this. Thank you for sharing your daily thoughts with us. As for the geese, I had some at our farm years ago and one of them was jealous of me, me being the farmer’s wife, and would chase me around so I am not too fond of them . When I saw the photo I remembered the bite of the goose. Lol!

      I’m so thrilled to hear that Mary! It makes me happy to take pictures of the things I love 🙂 Aww, yes, I’ve met some Sassy geese in the past. They really do all have little personalities! Phoebe & Finn are relatively calm geese and it takes a lot to rile them up. They wouldn’t chase or bite you, especially if you had watermelon!
